Songs I Keep On Repeat
I was thinking about why some songs are deserving of multiple back to back plays. The instant the opening chords begin to play, we’re sucked into an ocean of feelings. Our favorite songs have the unexplainable ability to reach the core of our existence. Our heart is instantly touched by its lyrics, which reflect our pleasures, sorrows, and all in between. I find comfort in the familiarity with each repetition, finding consolation and understanding in its melodies. My spirits are raised by the song's contagious vitality, which offers a distraction from the everyday grind of existence. It's a realm of sound where I can completely lose myself and let the music comfort, uplift, and carry me to a state of complete joy.
In this week’s newsletter, we will explore a few songs that I continually put on repeat before heading to the next song on the playlist. The first song that will always get multiple back to back plays is the song ‘Too Good’ by Christian Kuria. Christian Kuria's "Too Good" is without a doubt one my favorite songs, and it has earned that title. Its captivating blend of soulful vocals and fascinating instrumentals instantly drew me in. The words have a deep connection for me and include topics like love, self-discovery, and personal growth. Every time I listen to it, I am transported to a scene filled with deep emotions. Christian Kuria has the ability to convey vulnerability and honesty via his music has led to "Too Good" being in heavy rotation. It is without a doubt a favorite in my musical repertoire due to the wide variety of emotions it evokes and the enduring effect it leaves on my spirit.
Another one of my favorite songs right now is "Woolsey" by Nick Kurosawa thanks to its hazy composition and decent vocals. The songs discuss the complexities of life, love, and the human experience that I can relate to. Nick Kurosawa's voice grabs my attention every time I listen because it seems as though he is baring his soul with each note. The musical gem "Woolsey," whose rich melodies and expertly created production show the artist's great skills and attention to detail. This song instantly grabs my attention and is my constant companion throughout periods of contemplation.
One song that holds a very special place in my heart is "Wanna Be Close" by Arron Taylor and Beka. With its enticing energy and passionate voices, it immediately caught my attention and wouldn't let go. I feel a strong connection to the dynamic and powerful chemistry that Arron Taylor and Beka's harmonious relationship creates. The lyrics are filled with need and longing, are a reflection of my own emotions and experiences. Every time I hear it, the music transports me to a scene where love and passion are intertwined. The flawless blending of R&B and pop elements in "Wanna Be Close" only serves to increase the chances that i'll hit repeat.
